Two month’s after suffering a serious leg injury in August at Anglesey in the Thundersport GB 2017 Championship, Dave Brook is on the road to recovery and setting his sights on getting race fit for next year’s championship.

Brook had to wear a cage on his leg after badly fracturing his left tibia in a nasty crash which also caused a significant amount of soft-tissue damage, making for a potentially longer recovery time.

Of his progress, Brook said: “I’m pleased to say I can now walk without crutches, the swelling is beginning to subside and the strength is slowly coming back plus I’m off the pain killers so there are lots of positives.”

“I will have the cage off hopefully in the New Year but all is subject to my next consultation later this month.”
